January 2024I recently had the pleasure of spending my 40th birthday weekend at this casita at the Terranea Resort and I can't say enough about the incredible experience we had. The plush king-sized bed was incredibly comfortable, and the large windows allowed us to wake up to the most spectacular ocean views each morning. It was like something out of a dream! The bathroom was equally impressive, featuring a deep soaking tub and a separate rain shower. One of the highlights of our stay was the private patio. We spent many hours sipping coffee in the morning and wine in the evening, all while watching the waves crash against the rocks below. It was the perfect setting for relaxation and celebration. Whether you're celebrating a special occasion or just seeking a serene escape, I wholeheartedly recommend this casita!

Sept 2022This Casita far exceeded our expectations! The resort is the best hidden coastal gem in California and we never left the property. Even with some problems with our entry cards malfunctioning, the resort staff took care of it immediately each time. The units were clean and well maintained and the views could not be beat. We were able to be all together in the three rooms...although one was not adjoining but part of the of the same outdoor living area dedicated to just our group. The owner was super to work with and made sure we had what we needed. The restaurants and pools were an easy walk away and great! Highly recommend this rental!
May 2022My family was at Terranea for my son’s wedding at near by Rolling Hills Country Club. The layout, location to restaurants, private entrances, and spectacular views could not have been more perfect. We have already discussed celebrating their 1 year anniversary at this same property. Pure paradise!

Sep 2019We spent our son’s 30th birthday and Christmas at this fabulous property with his fiancé and our two other sons. We all had plenty of space and the casita is decorated beautifully. Golf course is steps away and a first class nine-hole par three. We hiked every day and enjoyed the resort’s restaurants and entertainment. We will definitely be back!
Dec 2018From the moment we entered the property, every staff member was welcoming and helpful. Our every need or want was attended to with a smile and great efficiency. The casita was beautifully decorated and had all the equipment necessary to make our Thanksgiving weekend a fun one. Views of the Pacific Ocean from the balconies were breathtaking. There were so many activities offered to suit our varying tastes and talents as well. We had a lovely dinner at Catalina Kitchen one night. The food was exceptional and the service wonderful. We had a very memorable holiday with our family and highly recommend the condo and property for couples and families.

They had everything we needed leading up to the wedding and they were the perfect place to enjoy the after glow. December 2025We have been to the resort many times, but only through the hotel. The Casita was perfect and our stay through VRBO versus the hotel itself was seamless. The owner, Beth was incredibly responsive and helpful throughout the process. This will definitely be one of our “go to”properties and am already planning our next stay.

August 2024This is our 2nd time to stay in this unit and it was wonderful. We enjoyed the large patio looking out over the ocean and beautiful grounds of Terranea. The unit is clean and kitchen is stocked for cooking basic meals. We will definitely come back!

July 2024We have stayed at many casitas and villas at Terranea over the years, and Beth's is by far the best. It is beautifully updated with modern furniture and the floor and paint colors make the space bright and contemporary. The view of the ocean is gorgeous and having the kitchen is great for bringing your own food and beverage. We loved using the fireplace and the patio. The beds were super comfy with great pillows and linens. We will definitely return!

Jan 2023This was our first time traveling with our 7 month old and while the airplane was a little chaotic, as soon as we stepped on property, everyone had a fantastic time. The rooms were spacious and felt just like home. The balcony views were unmatched, and the Terranea service is second to none. We cannot wait to come back to this room set up in every season, thank you!

March 2020This spacious and tastefully decorated two bedroom casita has an incredible view of the Pacific Ocean. There are two outdoor private patios facing the ocean and another outdoor sitting area just outside the front door. The Terranea property is splendid. Quiet, serene and open. Lovely walks right from the property.
February 2020We were 4 friends doing a weekend college reunion. Property was perfect for what we wanted. Large bedroom suites provided plenty of space for us to nap and rest. Living room and balcony were great for hanging out. Kitchen was fully stocked. We mostly made coffee and had snacks, however we could have easily cooked meals there. Views were gorgeous from every room. Resort amenities (free parking!) were great. We took advantage of the fitness classes every morning, and spent a lot of time at the pool.
Host was very easy to get in touch with and was very responsive! One of the best rental experiences I've had.
February 2020What a beautiful casita. We loved the furnishings and everything was really 5 stars. Stunning views of Catalina Island. Very easy walk to pools, restaurants and the Lobby bar. Parking is literally in front of unit which makes packing to and from casita very easy. Thanks for a memorable weekend for our daughters wedding.

We loved having tea and eating breakfast at the table on the veranda. The house is located in Terranea Resort which has amazing pools, restaurants and other activities. We were treated and greeted like royalty. Absolutely and 100% will be booking this room again in the very near future! The host was very communicative, and very responsive. I even got to do an early check in. This was a very child friendly environment along with the option to be a very friendly adult environment as well. My family did not want to leave this place! This was a 10 star 10/10. There was plenty to do at the resort and Redondo beach is just right down the road. If you are looking for a dream vacation for your family or a weekend getaway. This is the spot you want! The room was very spacious and gorgeous along with amazing views!
March 2024We lucked out with the weather and were able to enjoy walks around the bluff and the property. The unit is in a very quiet location and is well maintained. It was perfect for a long weekend, we enjoyed the onsite restaurants and did not really cook but the kitchen is equipped with the necessary tools. Roomy bedroom and bathroom, comfortable bed and the living room is inviting. A nicely furnished deck where you can enjoy the incredible view.

Dec 2022In the words of my preschooler: "I liked our casita. I liked sleeping in the big bed and having breakfast on the patio. I could see the ocean!" We've stayed in Terranea hotel rooms for years but sprung for a casita to have more space, a kitchen and our own private entrance, plus a designated parking spot. Not to mention -- the view!!! I loved that we had all the privileges of a resort guest; your key works at the pool, you can charge things to the room and staff is so helpful. I would definitely recommend this rental and hope to return with my own family.

June 2021Well designed living and bedroom areas; maximized the amazing ocean views and the ability to hear the roar of the ocean. Lots of towels, sheets, etc. - easy to use appliances. Nice touch with the motorized awnings. The outdoor (and indoor) dining tables easily sat all 6 of us and could have comfortably accommodated a few more. As with all ocean based facilities, there is the need for constant upkeep. On the whole, this home is doing quite well.

Beautiful nearby hiking grounds and hotel room for photography. The kitchen in the hotel room is well stocked with a full kitchen - full fridge, stove, microwave and oven. Large living room and patio.
October 2020Terranea Casitias are an exclusive stay option at Terranea Resort. The unit boasts almost 1,200 square feet of a luxury ocean view indulgence! Loved the experience and wanted to extend a night, and Beth was so accommodating. Although I reside 2 miles down the coast, what a fun get away and cannot wait to return!

I was perfect for me to get ready with a few others for my wedding and we loved waking up the next day and taking full advantage of the beautiful resort amenities. All of the staff were always friendly and helpful, the rooms were fully equipped with everything we needed and more. Beth was always quick to reply when we were interested in booking and we are so happy that we did!
Jul 11, 2019This was a wonderful place for complete relaxation. Beautiful and well-kept apartment (casita), stunning view, and quiet surroundings. The service was excellent. The people at the front desk, the shuttle drivers, the people at the pool - all made us feel that they were happy we were there. The casita has a fully furnished kitchen and dining area, lots of comfortable couches, a gas fireplace, two large TVs, Internet access - all of which made it easy to settle in quickly and comfortably. The daily cleanings and refreshing of towels was nice. Bed extremely comfortable. The owner of the casita was very responsive and accommodating when we were arranging our visit. We'd definitely vacation here again.

As a parent of two, skipping the usual valet hassle at Terranea made all the difference, especially with getting them to school and having to go back and forth. Stress-free, convenient, and highly recommended! Plus, you still get access to all the Terranea amenities. The location, ambiance, and overall experience exceeded my expectations.

Honestly, I vastly prefer the set-up to one of the hotel rooms (more space & privacy with better views and a semi-private outdoor fireplace). It's wonderful being able to take advantage of all the hotel amenities (gym, pool, room service, etc) while still having a spot that feels more removed. Don't hesitate to book!

July 2024This place was excellent. Clean and with plenty of room and comfortable furniture. We spent time on the patio overlooking the ocean. We could see dolphins and seals in the water down below...which was pretty neat. Housekeeping came in daily and got the room straight with new linens, towels, etc. They brought extra waters and coffee each day as well. The experience at Catalina Kitchen and Bashi was top notch. Excellent food and wait staff. Sunday brunch @Catalina Kitchen was absolutely insane. So much food I felt like it was Thanksgiving!!! We had dinner at Bashi on a Sunday evening. Not too crowded. Fantastic sushi and cocktails. I also used the resort fitness center. That place is massive and has so much equipment. Probably the best fitness center at any hotel I have ever stayed at. I wish Terranea was closer to Maryland where I live because I'd probably come here a few times each year if so. We absoutely loved it.

The grounds themselves are beautiful, and the fact that it's part of the broader Terranea properties made it so easy to check in, have access to really great amenities like daily cleanings or room service, and it felt super safe since there is always staff available a phone call away. The casita itself was very clean - when you walk in, it smells good with a hint of clean / soap fragrance. The bed is comfortable, the pillows plush, and there is a lot of space; the couch and the small desk make working from the room really easy. The outdoor balcony with the amazing view of ocean was also very soothing. I definitely plan to stay here again. I got to enjoy a hint of Palos Verdes living with this safe, clean space that was just a drive away from any part of PV, Torrance, or Redondo Beach! Beth and Elly were also great to work with; thank you again!
January 2024This place was amazing! An even better way to experience Terranea resort than just booking a hotel room. The casita was spacious and walkable to the main resort offerings and the golf course. The casita had an ocean view from the balcony that we could see from the bed which was nice and peaceful. Room was very clean. Bathroom was spacious. It was the perfect couples getaway to have access to all the amenities but privacy from the hotel happenings with the live shows and lively restaurants at night. The reserved parking spot right outside the room was a huge perk. Overall - loved it!!! Can’t wait to be back.

Can’t say enough about this place, it’s absolutely beautiful! The room is perfect for 3, I stayed with my 2 adult daughters. The bed, linens and sleeper couch were super comfortable. The room is bigger and nicer than in the pictures. The private balcony overlooking the ocean is my favorite. There’s no need to step outside for the view, you can enjoy breakfast in bed and still appreciate the ocean view. The casita is easy to find, has a great parking spot, and an easy walk to all the pools.
Terranea grounds are beautiful and fun to explore. There are so many activities for families of all ages. I love the daily texts from the resort that remind you of activities going on that day. Sunrise walks on the trails are fun and I got to see dolphins both mornings. The sunsets by Nelson’s are spectacular, followed by live music.
My experience was all positive, Beth was an awesome host. I will definitely be staying here again and recommend it!

August 2023Came in from Phx area to visit our kids in SoCal and to cool off. Grounds and natural surroundings are so beautiful-- I remember the area when it was Marine World in the early 2000s. Terranea is always on my list of places to stay when I am in area.

It was just like staying at the resort, rather than a private rental. The room is in a quiet location and the view is fantastic. Would absolutely stay here again and I hope we get to!

July 2023Full size king as described with its own dedicated parking spot. Nice balcony and excellent service from Terrenea. The gym is a hike but clean and all good equipment. Highly recommend if you want a Terrenea experience but not have to deal with the front entry of the hotel.

March 2022This was a great weekend getaway. There was a view of the ocean from the bed. Check in was actually through the hotel and you have access to all hotel amenities as you are essentially a hotel guest. There was not much interaction with Beth as she coordinates directly with the hotel for check-in and once checked in the resort treats you as a guest. As far as the room it was in a great location which is in with the casitas and away from the actual main hotel building. This was great as it was quiet and secluded. The dining options on the resort property are good but a little on the pricier side. If you like Italian there is an outstanding Italian restaurant named Avenue close by which I recommend. Overall the stay was very relaxing and the resort is beautiful with plenty of activities which are included in the resort fee and many other activities in which you can pay extra for. I would stay here again. Thank you Beth and Terranea!

July 2021Our stay at Terranea was amazing. We saw pods of dolphins swim across our Casita balcony ocean view! The resort was huge with a variety of food and drink atmospheres. Beth responded very promptly to any question that we had. We will miss the smell of jasmine. Can’t wait to come back.

The room is spacious, has a lovely bathtub for amazing baths. The ceilings are high and bed linens are so luxurious.
This place is such a great alternative to staying in a room within the main hotel. You can park right next to the casita and explore the surrounding area, which is also amazing! We went to Bettolino nearby and recommend the grilled octopus!
The accommodations on the hotel grounds are breathtaking— the ocean outside your balcony, the trails you can get great views from, the restaurants that are available to you. Service was too notch all around.

The best part is because the room is in one of the small two story casita rooms you don't have to go into the main hotel building so you can avoid any crowds. There's also an outside terrace that services the other few casitas and there is a fireplace where the kids can make s'mores. My ten year old loved the pool, we also went kayaking and horseback riding.
March 2021My husband and I celebrated our 30th wedding anniversary in grand style..The resort is absolutely fabulous and the coastline was breathtaking , we did in-room dining all of the meals were well prepared and delicious each resort employee and guest was friendly and welcoming. The views from the room of the Pacific Ocean and Catalina were terrific, a truly serene place to spend a couple of days! Beth was super responsive throughout the booking process, and the entire booking went off without any issues. Will definitely hope to book again soon!

The kids enjoyed the main pool and we relaxed with friends and enjoying walking the trails around the property. We ate at Nelson's, Bashi, and a quick breakfast and coffee from Sea Beans. We loved the easy access and extras, like the fireplace and sitting area in the alcove outside the room. Our host [Beth] was kind, responsive and eager to help!
April 2024Beth was an incredible host - very responsive and detailed with initial questions before and after booking and during our stay. Once we were there on vacation, I also found her answers to be honest and accurate. The property is comfortable, close proximity to resort, amazing views of the water - every room has a view and access to the fresh pacific air. Rooms were spacious, bathrooms were huge (each had a very large soaker tub and sizable shower.) Vanity included extra towels and hair dryer. Plenty of counter space. Surprisingly, the bedrooms themselves were kind of soundproof. It was quiet while sleeping vs in a hotel where you can hear doors slamming constantly! There was good separation between the rooms, so it was wonderful for multiple age groups to be around each other. The living space was very nice as well - so nice to have the laundry in unit! The staff at the resort were amazing - kind, attentive and knowledgeable. Close by are: Walking trails, water access, playgrounds, pool, spa, grocery stores a Starbucks and reasonably priced restaurants. On-resort food prices were a little bananas, but expected.
April 2024Our stay was just what we wanted! The location is right by the ocean so when we sat in our balcony we were able to enjoy the ocean breeze. My 8 year old loved the pool slide & the on-site staff was great! Communicating with Beth was a breeze. She was very polite & understanding. I greatly appreciate that the pictures you see in the listing are exactly what you’ll get. This is an upscale resort that did not disappoint.

There is a great walking trail for miles along the bluff in and beyond the resort. Beautiful views. Highly recommend. The food at the resort is pricey so if you have a car you can go off the resort for meals. Some restaurants down the street about 1.5 miles.

Beth is very quick to respond and answered all of my questions ahead of time, including a little parking trick so we didn't have to mess with the valet. The villa is a prime location within Terranea and we had a nice stay.
